  13. i seem to have found a bug in the old but extremely useful windowdeamon
  14. the bug occurs when ToolsDeamon (nico francois used to add menus to wb0
  15. is oporating.The sympotoms follow...
  16. 1. I open a window with autoclose (midbutton + dbl click)
  17.    the parent window closes.Then i click on the close button
  18.    mid button+close gadget the window fails to reopen.
  19. 2. When opening a window in the usual fashion (dbl click) then closing
  20.    the window regularily (parent window close button) now if i do a close+
  21.    open parent the window will open!
  22. It seems that the close+open parent does not work so well maybe you can fix?
  23. here is an excerpt from toolsdeamon docs maybe it can give ya a lead :

  26. ToolsDaemon  is  no  longer  a 100% legal program!  It patches certain
  27.      Intuition  functions  to  attach  menu items to Workbench's menu strip
  28.      (which  it  shouldn't touch) and redirects Workbench's message port in
  29.      order  to  trap  IDCMP_MENUPICK  messages  before Workbench sees them.
  30.      Everything  has  been  done  as  cleanly  as possible and should be as
  31.      future  compatible  as  it  can  be, but there is no real guarantee it
  32.      will  still work on future versions of the Amiga operating system.  If
  33.      you  can't  live  with  this continue to use ToolsDaemon 1.0, but know
  34.      that  the  features  ToolsDaemon  offers (multiple menus, submenus and
  35.      keyboard  shortcuts)  CANNOT be offered in a legal way, simply because
  36.      workbench.library  V37  doesn't support them.  If a new version of the
  37.      Amiga  operating  system is released and ToolsDaemon is not compatible
  38.      I will rectify this as soon as possible.
